Slamlocks
As the name implies a slamlock automatically locks and secures as the door is closed,
requiring the use of the legitimate key to regain access. Due to the automatic operation
of a slam lock they are recommended for load area doors and are Ideal for multi-drop
situations.
Upgrade and convert the standard vehicle (O.E.) locks fitted to vehicle load doors,
to genuine slam operation. The L4V kit replaces the manufacturer's vulnerable barrel,
and internal mechanism where appropriate, with High Security custom designed products,
designed to resist attack and tampering. We do not endorse the practice of 'upgrading'
the O.E. lock to slam operation by the addition of springs, this method offers no
additional protection to the door and cannot be considered a security upgrade by
itself.
Euroslam
This range offers the best of both worlds in load door security, slam operation
with additional deadlocking when operated by the driver. These locks are generally
utilised on twin rear load door installations.
Deadlocks
Deadlocks are the most common type of supplementary vehicle lock, available in a
wide range of door specific kits to meet your customer's requirements.
L4V Euro-deadlocks are true deadlocks, they have an internal mechanism which only
'lifts' when the correct key is being used to unlock the device, this prevents the
lock bolt being pushed back into the lock case. Cheaper 'deadlocks' often rely solely
on the actual key barrel to provide 'deadlocking', resulting in a much lower level
of security.
Cable Guard
CABLE-GUARD is a machined protective Shield, designed to shield the rear O/S door
loom from attack by thieves.
Thieves have discovered that if certain wires in the rear door loom are shorted,
usually whilst cutting, that this actually unlocks the doors giving immediate access
into the vehicle. This means not only have you lost the vehicle contents, but you
cannot lock any doors until the loom is replaced. Consequently demand for replacement
looms from Ford has led to lengthy back order-times, - up to three weeks.
Ford have now recalled all new Transits and are making a modification that stops
the doors unlocking when the door loom is ‘shorted’, however, thieves have no way
of knowing this and cut the wires regardless hoping to unlock the vehicle. We now
have a situation where thieves don’t gain access; however you also are prevented.
Getting into the rear of a Transit, especially if there is a bulkhead fitted, is
not easy and usually means cutting off the rear door hinges. The CABLE-GUARD prevents
the wires from being cut. Fitting this low-tech but highly effective security device
is extremely cost-effective – or perhaps you would prefer to take the chance?
Diablock
Diablock has been specifically designed for covert high security commercial vehicle
applications and ease of use.
Controlled via either the vehicles alarm or telematics system, the DIABLOCK automatically
throws an electrically controlled bolt, effectively sealing the door shut.
Ideal for situations where it is desired to not indicate the type of security fitted.
Supplied as vehicle specific kits incorporating custom designed brackets.
Lock Defender
L4V Lock Defender Security Plates are designed to thwart the would-be thief, by
shielding the existing (O.E.) locks and where applicable, handles, thus preventing
the commonplace screwdriver type attacks. Lock Defender security plates are case
hardened, drill-proof and external components finished in an aesthetically pleasing,
nylon powder coating which matches the vehicle trim, and a powerful anti-theft deterrent.
L4V Lock Defender plates can be used to cover an already damaged doorskin, providing
a much cheaper way of repairing the damage, whilst providing protection against
future attack.
